Elizabeth Hurley

Elizabeth Hurley is a British actress, model and producer born on June 10, 1965 in Basingstoke (Hampshire).

Regarded as a sex symbol of the 1990s, she became known worldwide as a model. She became one of the icons of the cosmetics brand Estee Lauder Inc.

From 1987 to 2000, she was a publicized couple with the actor Hugh Grant. She also produced two of her own films: Emergency Measure (1996) and Mickey Blue Eyes (1999).

It was revealed in the cinema mainly by the films Austin Powers (1997) and Endiable (2001).

Start of career

In 1987, she made her film debut in the comedy-drama A Sketch directed by Australian filmmaker Bruce Beresford, the year she met Hugh Grant, the actor with whom she shared her life until 2000.

At the same time, she was filming the Spanish film Remando alvienso, thus landing her first starring role.

In 1988, she landed the role that marked the first major breakthrough in her career, with the prestigious BBC drama series Christabel.

She is the godmother of Lennon Gallagher, son of actress Patsy Kensit and singer Liam Gallagher. She is also godmother to Tabitha Grant, born in September 2011, the daughter of her ex-partner Hugh Grant.

Since 1994, she has been supporting the association that fights against breast cancer. The actress is particularly sensitive to this cause, as her grandmother died of the disease. She travels the world as a speaker to raise funds for the Estee Lauder Foundation.
